Simon Washbourne has been a role player for over 30 years. He got the writing bug when he wrote articles for various fanzines in the early 1980's - 'zines like Demonsblood, The Beholder, Dragonlords and Demon's Drawl. Later, he wrote for Valkyrie and Arcane magazines before moving on to publish his own games. Simon has now written a number offbeat but generally well-received small press rpgs, under his Beyond Belief Games imprint; Lashings of Ginger Beer, Tales from The Wood, It's a Dog's Life, Go Fer Yer Gun! and Medieval Murder Mysteries. However, it wasn't until he published Barbarians of Lemuria that his game designs really began to receive recognition. Simon hopes that by joining forces with Cubicle 7, many more gamers will have the opportunity to find out for themselves why Barbarians of Lemuria has been hailed as one of the best sword & sorcery role playing games around.
